Job Title – Counselor

Job Description:

As a Counselor at our international student recruitment organization, you will play a crucial role in guiding and advising students from different regions of India who are interested in studying abroad. Your responsibilities will include providing information on study programs, assisting with the application process, and offering support throughout the entire journey of students pursuing education in foreign countries.

Key Responsibilities:

Counseling and Guidance:

  • Provide personalized counseling to students regarding study abroad opportunities.
  • Offer information on various study programs, universities, and countries.
  • Address queries related to admissions, visa processes, and other relevant aspects.

Application Assistance:

  • Assist students in preparing and submitting applications to international universities.
  • Ensure that all required documents, such as transcripts and recommendation letters, are properly organized and submitted on time.
  • Provide guidance on standardized tests and language proficiency requirements.

Communication and Relationship Building:

  • Maintain regular communication with prospective students and their parents to keep them informed about the application progress.
  • Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions abroad to stay updated on admission criteria and program details.

Visa Process Support:

  • Guide students through the visa application process, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the respective countries.
  • Provide assistance in preparing visa documents and preparing students for visa interviews.

Orientation and Pre-departure Support:

  • Conduct orientation sessions for students accepted into study abroad programs.
  • Offer pre-departure support to help students prepare for cultural and academic adjustments.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, counseling, international relations).

Experience:

Prior experience in student counseling, particularly in the context of study abroad programs, is required

Familiarity with the education systems of various countries is a plus.

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively communicate complex information to students and parents.

Cultural Awareness:

Cultural sensitivity and awareness of the challenges faced by international students.

Ability to adapt and relate to the cultural background of Telugu-speaking students.

Tech-Savvy:

Proficiency in using technology and online platforms ffor communication and documentation.
